From 2026 onwards, new bind\u00ading require\u00adments under the EU direc\u00adtive Empow\u00ader\u00ading Con\u00adsumers for the Green Tran\u00adsi\u00adtion (Emp\u00adCo) will apply. Under Emp\u00adCo, label own\u00aders will, for the first time, share respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty for ensur\u00ading the legal com\u00adpli\u00adance of their users. <\/em>Thanks to the Emp\u00adCo Readi\u00adness Check, with\u00adin just 2.5 days you will not only know whether you are affect\u00aded, but also how to respond in a struc\u00adtured way.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With the Emp\u00adCo Direc\u00adtive, the Euro\u00adpean Union is estab\u00adlish\u00ading a bind\u00ading legal frame\u00adwork for envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal claims made to con\u00adsumers. Its aim is to effec\u00adtive\u00adly pre\u00advent green\u00adwash\u00ading, enhance trans\u00adparen\u00adcy, and ensure bet\u00adter com\u00adpa\u00adra\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty of sus\u00adtain\u00adable offer\u00adings.
<\/span>Start\u00ading Sep\u00adtem\u00adber 2026, the new require\u00adments will become legal\u00adly bind\u00ading. Com\u00adpa\u00adnies, brands, and espe\u00adcial\u00adly providers of sus\u00adtain\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty and envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal labels will face the chal\u00adlenge of align\u00ading their claims, cri\u00adte\u00adria, and process\u00ades with the law in a time\u00adly man\u00adner.
